Buddy Day at Straight Blast Gym Atlanta

SBG Atlanta students, on June 10th you are welcome to bring a friend to train with you for FREE 🤩🤩🤩

What is Buddy Day?

Buddy Day is an opportunity for Straight Blast Gym students to bring a friend to join us at our Atlanta location and train together in a Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kids Jiu Jitsu, or Fitness Kickboxing class. Our guests will partner with the student that brought them, ensuring that they'll be well taken care of. No experience is needed to participate. We will teach a beginner-friendly curriculum in all of our classes on June 10th.

This sounds awesome. What do I need to do??

Easy. If you are a student at Straight Blast Gym Atlanta, holler at one of your friends that you think would enjoy training with us and bring them with you on Saturday, June 10th. Have your buddy arrive a good 15 minutes before the class they plan to attend kicks off so that we can have them sign a waiver and get them set up with any equipment that they might need for their training session. Make sure they wear something comfortable for their training session. Your buddy does not need to wear a gi for Jiu Jitsu. If your friend is going to be joining you for Fitness Kickboxing or Muay Thai, it would be helpful if you could let your buddy borrow a pair of your boxing gloves. If not we've got them covered.

If I'm in the Intermediate classes, do I need to bring my Buddy to a Foundations class?

If you are eligible to train in our Intermediate Muay Thai and/or Jiu Jitsu classes then you can bring your friend to that class as your training partner for the day. That day's curriculum will be something that students of all experience levels (including no experience) can handle. We realize that the majority of our guests will have little to no martial arts training so we'll make sure that the material being taught is suitable for everyone.

Does my Buddy need to bring anything to class?

For our kids and adult Jiu Jitsu classes, Buddies will not be required to wear a gi. If you, the student, have an extra gi that you want to let them wear for the day, fantastic. If not, it's not a problem. Our Muay Thai and Fitness Kickboxing guests will need boxing gloves for class. We have a few pairs that we'll loan out, but if you have an extra pair of gloves that you can let your friend borrow for the day, please do so.

What if my Buddy loves SBG and wants to join the tribe?

If your Buddy wants to continue training at Straight Blast Gym after their experience on Buddy Day we'll make them a pretty sweet offer....

If your Buddy decides to join the SBG tribe we'll give them their first month of training FREE OF CHARGE and we'll throw in a free month of training for you

In addition to an incredible morning of martial arts and fitness training, we'll have a petting zoo set up outside of the gym for the kids.

Students, we can't wait to meet your friends and have your Buddy train with us on the morning of Saturday, June 10th. Please limit your guest list to one Buddy so that we do not overcrowd the mats. All guests under 18 will need to have a parent present in order to participate in one of our martial arts or fitness classes.

We'll see you on June 10th for Buddy Day at SBG Atlanta!!
