Jennifer Tomlin is Straight Blast Gym Atlanta's Fitness Athlete of the Month for April 2022
Jennifer has made it a point to prioritize her health and fitness over the years, becoming one of the most dedicated and accomplished athletes at Straight Blast Gym's Buford location.
In October of 2017, Jenn walked into Straight Blast Gym Buford looking to make some life changes. She had been training at a local big-box gym in Buford but was growing tired of her fitness routine and looking to take things to the next level. She began training in SBG Buford's Fitness Performance classes and never looked back.
"Jen has been the silent leader of the 9:30am Fitness Performance classes for years now. She is super consistent in her training, regardless of what else she has going on in life. Jen always puts forth her best effort and does a great job of demonstrating and executing good technique."
These are the words of Coach James Morton, the leader of Straight Blast Gym Buford's Fitness Performance program. James has been working with Jenn for years, both in class and on a personal level. In addition to being a regular in Fitness Performance classes, James began creating personalized programming for Jen several years ago.
"Jenn is beyond dedicated. She puts in the time and it's been incredible to see her results. We've put an emphasis on her core strength and explosive power and after a few months she hit 300 pounds on the deadlift. That's impressive for my college athletes, let alone a woman in her 40s. She's a beast."
After 4.5 years of consistently attending Fitness Performance classes and working one-on-one with Coach James, Jenn looks noticeably different. Not only does her waist look smaller but her shoulders and arms look AMAZING! Her customized programming with Coach James really put things over the top. Jenn wanted to be able to train 6 days per week, even on the days when her schedule didn't allow her to attend Performance classes. On top of that, Coach James programmed around Jenn's specific wants and desires, which led to Jenn achieving new highs in both her appearance and physical output.
One of Jenn's regular partners and teammates in SBG's Fitness Performance classes is Lori Fenski. When told that her friend had been selected as April's Fitness Athlete of the Month, Lori had this to say:
"I am so grateful to have Jenn as my workout partner in crime. She is an amazing athlete that is humble, encouraging and dedicated. She is an inspiration and encourager to me (probably even without knowing it). She is always ready to help and teach anyone looking to better themselves.
