These are the words of James Morton, Straight Blast Gym’s head fitness coach. He first met Lauren in 2017, when she first arrived at Straight Blast Gym Buford looking for a new and exciting type of group fitness that would get her toned and fit, not to mention keep her engaged. She started training in the Fitness Performance classes, which is where she and Coach James began to work together.
“As she’s gotten more comfortable and confident in her abilities, she’s starting to lift heavier weights than she ever has before, and having great success doing it. She is stepping out of her comfort zone doing box jumps, something that a lot of people are very nervous about doing. The results are super noticeable, and her body has changed a lot. She’s lost a lot of body fat, and is replacing it with lean muscle.”
These are high accolades from Coach James, as it is incredibly common for new athletes in SBG’s fitness programs to show hesitation when it comes to things like box jumps and lifting heavier weights. Coach James and the rest of the fitness coaches at SBG have earned her trust that not only will she be fine, but that she will not become “big and bulky” by using heavier weights for lower reps. Lauren is looking FANTASTIC!!
