  • Coaches Candidate Course: Building Future Leaders at SBG Atlanta

At SBG Atlanta, we’re committed to growth—not just in fitness, but in leadership. That’s why our Coaches Candidate Course has become a cornerstone event for anyone looking to expand their coaching abilities or simply become a better student of martial arts.

    A Deep Dive into Coaching

The course delved into the origins of SBG, tracing Coach Phillipe’s path and the philosophy behind our curriculum. Participants learned how our gym operates, how classes are structured, and how to apply coaching concepts in a real-world setting.

    Hands-On Experience

This course was more than a lecture. It involved hands-on training where participants practiced teaching techniques and honed their skills in developing athletes during small group breakout sessions. They worked on coaching methods that embody the dedication and care we demonstrate in every SBG class.

    A Focus on Growth

Whether participants are aiming to coach at SBG or in another area of life, the principles learned here are universal: patience, persistence, and attention to detail. Our objective is to empower coaches with the abilities and mentality to not only impact their game but to make a lasting impact in people’s lives.

“It’s not about being the best coach; it’s about being the best at getting better,”

    -Coach Phillipe

    Looking Forward

We’re incredibly proud of the turnout at this year’s Coaches Candidate Course and look forward to seeing these future coaches continue to grow. Whether they’re coaching Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, or something else, we know they’ll bring the values of SBG wherever they go.

Join us for the next Coaches Candidate Course to begin your path towards becoming an outstanding coach!
