Anders Tweito joined Straight Blast Gym’s Spiker Monkey jiu jitsu team this past August.
At four years old, Anders is beginning to encounter the usual issues that kids face at that age. Starting pre-school, meeting new kids, and of course the possibility of encountering bullies. His mother,
Anders was just starting pre-k, and we wanted to get him involved in something that would not only teach him self defense, but something that would teach him social skills. It’s had a great impact on him learning respect, discipline, and dedication that he applies outside of the gym, as well.
What
Anders has a fantastic attitude, especially for a four years old. He forever has a smile on his face. I made him student of the day, last Thursday, because of how awesome he did with our “confidence walk” and “handshake” lessons. This kid is going to be a great addition to our kids jiu jitsu team for a long time.
In addition to Anders being a part of our Spider Monkey Kids Jiu Jitsu program, his parents, Courtany and Andrew, train in our adult jiu jitsu program. Thanks for all of your hard work, Tweito family, and congratulations Anders!
