    Over the last decade, CrossFit has been responsible for thousands of remarkable physical changes.

    Combining weight lifting, running, jumping, and gymnastics, CrossFit has made its mark on fitness by getting men and women of all different ages and sizes into absolutely amazing shape.

    While many people think that CrossFit may be something they can’t handle, below are the stories of three individuals who began CrossFit at Straight Blast Gym and have experienced absolutely incredible results.

    Ericka

    In the fall of 2014, Ericka was ready for a change. Like many working adults, she’d found that the extra pounds had crept on slowly, little by little, until she found herself at her all time heaviest. Ready to right the ship, she began CrossFit at SBG. With the addition of some resistance training and the support of her fellow classmates, Ericka began a remarkable transformation. A short 6 months later, Ericka was down 20 pounds, she had added lean muscle, and began to notice she was feeling better on a day to day basis. 2 + years later and Ericka is one of the most consistent and hardworking members of Straight Blast CrossFit!


    Jason

    At his all time heaviest, Jason weighed in at 513 pounds and had reached a point where his health was in serious jeopardy. He was starting to get numbness in his hands when he would sleep, and moving around was becoming a pretty exhausting chore. He decided he needed to make some changes to improve his quality of life. He eventually called Straight Blast Gym.

    Enjoying a combination of CrossFit and some of the martial arts offered by Straight Blast Gym, Jason worked his way all the way down to 270 pounds! Jason can be found at Straight Blast Gym Buford just about everyday as he continues to lose weight, increase his strength, and improve his overall health.


    Susan

    Susan’s boyfriend, Rob, was a member of Straight Blast Gym’s Kickboxing program. After hearing great things, Susan decided she wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Susan began CrossFit, having zero experience with medium-high intensity workouts. Starting at a foundational level, Susan began to get stronger and in better shape, week by week. It wasn’t too long before Susan started to see incredible transformations in the way she looked and felt. Susan was so motivated that she even began to compete in CrossFit competitions, something she had never imagined herself doing. In a local competition held in September of 2016, she and her partner Ericka came in first place in their division!


    All three of these CrossFitters share one thing in common; they made the choice to turn things around and push themselves past their self-imposed boundaries. All three have experienced life changing physical results, both in the way they look and feel.
