As a family man and hardworking engineer, he thrives on overcoming challenges both in his life and in his professional endeavors. Despite his laid-back demeanor, when it comes to fitness pursuits, Darnell is driven to push his boundaries and accomplish his goals.

    When asked about what motivated him to join SBG and be part of our fitness program, Darnell emphasized the power of a community in maintaining accountability throughout his fitness journey.     He mentioned that in the past, his attempts to workout alone at the gym often fell short. However, he has now discovered the motivation and consistency he needs within our SBG family.

    Darnell’s journey into fitness kickboxing has brought about some changes. He shared that he has gained confidence in basic striking techniques. Kickboxing does not only improve his self-assurance; it also sparks a newfound passion for cardio exercises like kickboxing itself, jumping rope, running, and biking. He referenced an achievement after six months of training: he was able to do an unassisted round of pull-ups, whereas before joining SBG he could manage only one.     Sean Coleman

    is one of the longest tenured coaches at SBG Atlanta. He has been training / coaching / competing in Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and other programs since 2011 and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
