Straight Blast Gym is seeking a First Impression Team Specialist at our newest location in Druid Hills. SBG is one of the world’s most established and revered martial arts brands, located on five continents. Our Atlanta location has been open since March 2022.
The primary roles and responsibilities of our First Impression Team Specialists are as follows:
✔️ Booking appointments for new potential students.
✔️ Selling memberships and onboarding new students to our gym.
✔️ Providing exquisite customer service and providing a +1 experience to our students and guests.
✔️ Selling retail and equipment
✔️ Helping keep track of inventory and other administrative responsibilities.
✔️ Maintaining and creating a clean atmosphere in the facility
The right person for this job has a bright disposition, good energy, is approachable, physically active, and can multitask. As the title says, you are the First Impression Team Specialist, so representing our gym and tribe in a positive manner is paramount. A history in sales is a plus but not required; we can teach you to sell. Applicants should possess basic computer skills, know how to communicate effectively, and have reliable transportation.
We are seeking a part-time or full-time position with a set weekly schedule (you’ll have the stability of a regular schedule; no rotating shifts here). The hours are flexible (day shift vs. evening), but part-time can average around 10-15 hours a week, while the full-time position is someone that can give AT LEAST 25 hours a week and preferably 30. All FITS receive a free gym membership and 40% off of everything at the gym, while full-time FITS are also eligible to receive health care through the gym after 90 days.
The base pay is $15 per hour, plus commissions earned on retail, membership onboarding, and retention calls. The average hourly rate for a FITS is $20, and our top FITS average $25-$30 per hour. These numbers are not at all hard to hit if you can talk to people and are willing to learn. FITS are paid sales commissions on every single membership and all retail items you sell, so there are no games or unrealistic numbers you have to hit to get paid. We want good people on our team, and good people need to make good money.
