    General

Starting Monday, October 21st, Straight Blast Gym Buford will now feature Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts training for our teenage athletes.

When it comes to martial arts training, teenagers often get lost in the shuffle.  As they enter their teen years, they find themselves in this weird situation where they are too big and athletic to train in a kids martial arts program, but not big or athletic enough to train with the adults.  Because of this frustration, many of these teenage kids will stop training in martial arts.

SBG Buford understands this challenge and is preparing to launch Jiu Jitsu and MMA classes for our teenage athletes!!

    Here’s how it’ll work:

When a new teenage martial arts athletes starts training at SBG Buford, they’ll begin in our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program.  As they progress in their studies, we’ll invite them to join our competition team.  Comp Team athletes will be eligible to train in our Mixed Martial Arts program, where they’ll take their jiu jitsu skills and begin to incorporate wrestling, muay thai, and kickboxing into their training sessions.
