Gym Social and Food Drive

Straight Blast Gym Buford is hosting a Gym Social and Food Drive on Saturday, May 2nd.

We are elated to be making a comeback from the COVID-19 quarantine, and it starts this Saturday.  Following all of the state’s social-distancing guidelines, we are going to congregate in our parking lot at 12pm to enjoy a couple hours of community, friendship, and charity.

In addition to the social aspect of this event, Straight Blast Gym Buford has partnered with the North Gwinnett Co-Op to host a food drive.  All food/goods that are collected will go to local Buford families that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Many of these families are not earning an income, and have not received their unemployment payments from the state of Georgia.  Below are the items that have been deemed “essential” by the North Gwinnett Co-Op:

We encourage SBG Buford athletes to bring a lawn chair and some snacks/beverages to enjoy.  Because of the social distance guidelines, we will not have communal food.  We will, however, have live entertainment as SBG Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete Samer Sabbagh has agreed to set up shop and play for us during the Gym Social!

So join us on Saturday, May 2nd, at Straight Blast Gym Buford.  This is the first time that most of us have had in-person interactions with one another in 6 weeks!

Our next big move comes on Monday, May 11th, as we prepare to launch Phase 1 of our Reopening SBG Plan!!
